The Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kyrgyz Republic has reported that over 51 thousand households in Bishkek have already gained access to natural gas.
This has been made possible by a program providing preferential loans for the gasification of residential houses.
According to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, adopted on April 28, 2025, under number 349, citizens can obtain preferential loans of up to 150 thousand soms at an interest rate of only 3% per annum, whereas previously the rate was 8%.
The ministry also noted that thanks to this initiative, coal consumption in the capital has decreased by approximately 100 thousand tons, contributing to the improvement of the environmental situation in Bishkek.
