The village of Krasnaya Rechka, located in the Issyk-Ata District of the Chui Region, was founded in 1907 as part of the Stolypin agrarian reform and resettlement policy. That year, the first three families moved here.

According to Nurmanbet Nurai Kankoeva, the acting head of Library No. 3 of Krasnaya Rechka, the heads of these families were Yeremenko, Saulin, and Tarabasov. In 1907, houses called kepe began to be built in the village, covered with straw and reeds, which were lit using oil lamps. Over time, the number of such houses increased to 60. The photograph shows the house of the Voropaev family.

In 1929, the collective farm "Krasnaya Rechka" was established in the village, which significantly impacted the development of the local economy and organized the economic activities of the population. Since 1938, the construction of various facilities began, including a club, a rural health post, a pharmacy, a school, a kindergarten, a factory, and a bus depot.

The name of the village is associated with the river, the waters of which have a reddish tint. During the spring and summer periods, the river often overflowed, flooding fields and lowlands, which led to soil marshiness and the spread of malaria among the residents.

As of 2025, the population of Krasnaya Rechka is 14,450 people, and the number of households is 2,893. The village has a tomato factory, a honey production plant, a sewing workshop, and a restaurant.

The Voropaev house, built in 1907, is considered one of the first buildings in the village, among which there were about 60 at that time.
