At today's parliamentary session, Deputy Eruлан Kokulov raised the issue of the low quality of the schools being built while commenting on the draft law "On the Ratification of the Credit Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Saudi Development Fund for the project 'Construction of Public Schools' Phase-2," which was signed on October 9, 2025, in Bishkek.

He noted that new buildings are showing cracks in the walls, roofs are leaking, and floors are cracking.

“In our desire to discuss the problems and get answers from representatives of the relevant authorities, particularly from the Ministry of Construction, we face a situation where we are not allowed to ask questions. How can we fulfill our duties as elected representatives? Are we just pressing buttons? It is impossible to reach the Minister of Construction, and they do not engage in dialogue with us. At the meetings, they only smirk. If I were in your place, Nurdаn Kemelovich (Oruntaev), I wouldn’t laugh like that. The committee also does not allow us to ask questions. If this situation continues, the school buildings will continue to deteriorate,” added Deputy Kokulov.
