In the Leilek district, in the village of Eski-Oochu, the issue of the necessity of building a new school has arisen. This was reported by deputy Kamila Talieva at a parliamentary meeting, where she addressed the Minister of Construction Nurdana Oruntaev. Previously, the educational institution was built with the help of ashar, but with the increasing number of children in the village, this issue has become particularly urgent.

On the agenda of the parliament was the draft law "On the Ratification of the Credit Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Saudi Development Fund for the project 'Construction of Public Schools' Phase-2," which was signed on October 9, 2025, in Bishkek.

Talieva proposed to add the construction of a school in the mentioned village to the title list.

Speaker Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu reminded the deputies of the necessity to ask questions exclusively related to the discussed draft law, warning that microphones would be turned off if the topics of questions did not correspond to the agenda.

“We will invite Nurdana separately to ask him questions. It is not appropriate to use the microphone for unrelated matters; we need to instill a culture of asking questions related to the specific draft law,” the speaker noted.

Deputy Kunduzbek Suimanov added that the parliament can only approve or reject the draft law; on other issues, deputies can communicate directly with the minister.

Erulan Kokulov agreed with the speaker's opinion but noted that sometimes ministers do not provide an opportunity to ask questions, and on other days they do not accept them. “We represent the interests of the people, and we have the right to ask questions,” he emphasized.

As a result of the voting, the parliament approved the draft law.
