
In the Kara-Kuldja district, law enforcement agencies discovered the illegal possession of a golden eagle, which is listed in the Red Book of Kyrgyzstan. This information was published by the press service of the Ministry of Nature. For this offense, the citizen was fined 20,000 soms, and the bird was returned to its natural habitat.
On January 27, the Osh regional office of the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service received a report that one of the local residents was illegally keeping a golden eagle at home. Inspectors, working in cooperation with NABU and the Bars-2 group, conducted an inspection and identified the offender.
As a result of the inspection, a protocol was drawn up in accordance with Article 262-1 of the Code of Offenses, and a fine was imposed on the offender. The golden eagle that was in his possession was released back into the wild.
