According to him, President Sadyr Japarov provided clear and comprehensive explanations on this issue in a recent interview, which, in Orunbekov's opinion, should put an end to public debates.
He also noted that previously some private driving schools had spread false information online, which contributed to the emergence of protest sentiments and active discussions in the media.
The head of the service denied rumors that the cost of driving lessons would be 100 or 200 thousand soms.
“The officially approved cost of training is 19 thousand soms, while the expenses for fuel during practical lessons will be paid by the students separately. Even taking these costs into account, the new training system will be significantly cheaper than the old one,” Orunbekov emphasized.
He added that previously the total cost of training and practice in private driving schools reached 35-36 thousand soms.
The presidential administration reminded that this reform is aimed at improving the quality of driver training and streamlining the system.
