He noted that there have been numerous dissatisfied reviews from representatives of some driving schools regarding these changes.
“It is necessary to acknowledge that there was a practice of selling driver's licenses in private driving schools. This has led to many traffic accidents. Recently, a person died as a result of a road conflict, which indicates a low level of driving culture and a irresponsible approach to training in driving schools. Chaos reigns on the roads. How many people lose their lives, how many become disabled?! Behind every accident are broken destinies, the suffering of parents, and crying children. Compared to 2024, the statistics for 2025 show an increase in the number of traffic accidents. This is not a coincidence, but a consequence of a system that has long been ignored,” emphasized Kanibek Tumanbaev.
He also noted that some owners of private driving schools claim they were not informed about the need to obtain licenses to conduct their activities.
“This is not true. We gathered everyone at ‘Yntymak Ordo’ and informed them about the upcoming reforms in their field. Therefore, the excuse of ‘we didn’t know’ is not accepted. Everyone knows how classes are conducted in private driving schools. Many students repeatedly retake theoretical exams, and many drivers do not know the fundamental Traffic Rules. We do not want to criticize the instructors of driving schools, as there are true professionals among them who are dedicated to their work,” he added.
Tumanbaev emphasized that the reform is not aimed at excluding anyone, but at cleansing the system and improving the quality of driver education.
“From now on, students will only be trained in those driving schools that are under state control. Starting in mid-February, we will begin accepting applications according to the new training standards. We will create conditions for quality driver education. These measures may not be liked by those who have turned the process of obtaining driver's licenses into a commercial activity,” concluded Kanibek Tumanbaev.
