As reported by the State Service "Unaa," Kyrgyz citizens working abroad who cannot return home can replace their driver's documents by contacting the embassy or consulate of Kyrgyzstan in the country where they are located.
To do this, it is necessary to submit an application for the replacement of the license, and this procedure is carried out free of charge, as noted by the agency.
Furthermore, the State Service "Unaa" clarified that foreigners, particularly citizens of Russia, who have driver's licenses from the Kyrgyz Republic, need to visit the department of the State Service "Unaa" for the replacement of their license.
Specialists noted that they need to present their driver's card for this. The exchange is also carried out without payment.
The State Service "Unaa" added that for additional information regarding the replacement, one should contact the branches of the institution.
We remind you that since January of this year, Kyrgyzstan has been replacing indefinite driver's licenses with modern samples.
There is also an option to change the license through the "Tunduk" application by uploading photos of the old document and submitting an application for a new one. The replacement procedure remains free of charge, and there are currently no time limits for its completion.
