In Kyrgyzstan, a phased replacement of old indefinite driver's licenses is being carried out.
According to information from "Unaa," citizens are provided with a transitional period for convenience. During this time, the old licenses remain valid, but after the period ends, they will lose their validity and must be replaced with new ones.
The need for replacement arises because the old licenses do not have a digital format, are not recognized in some foreign countries, and have insufficient security features, as well as outdated photographs. This creates difficulties with identification and increases the risk of abuse. The new licenses comply with current international standards, have enhanced security features, and provide greater safety.
To simplify the process of replacing state licenses, the following measures are provided:
* cancellation of the requirement to provide a medical certificate in form 083;
* the possibility of submitting an application for replacement through the online system "Tündük";
* optimization of the service provision procedure, which allows avoiding haste and additional costs.
Citizens are advised to take advantage of the simplified conditions in advance and switch to new driver's licenses within the established timeframe.
Those whose driver's licenses are not displayed in the "Tündük" system must contact the relevant offices for document replacement.
Citizens whose licenses are in the system are recommended to carry out the replacement online, without the need to visit branches.
Information about the deadlines and further stages of license replacement will be officially communicated to the population.
