The deputy noted that the training periods for obtaining licenses are too long
Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastan Bekeshev expressed the opinion that the youth of Kyrgyzstan may start going to Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan for training and obtaining driver's licenses.
He emphasized that the new training periods for category B (10 months) and C (12 months) driver's licenses are excessively long and may negatively affect both the number of people wishing to obtain licenses and the operation of driving schools.
Bekeshev noted: "Many young citizens report that this is too lengthy a process. In other countries, training takes about three months. If we train our citizens for 10-12 months, many of them will prefer to go study in Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan."
This statement was responded to by the director of the State Center for Registration of Vehicles and Driver Personnel under the Presidential Administration, Tynychbek Saidov, who reported that these standards were approved by the Ministry of Education.
