“I was fired from my job yesterday. This came as a complete surprise”
Kamchybek Tashiev, who previously held the position of Deputy Prime Minister and headed the GKNB, expressed surprise regarding his dismissal, which occurred the day before. Journalist Nurgazy Anarkulov reported this on his social media.
“I was undergoing treatment in Germany with the president's permission, as I needed to have examinations after surgery,” he noted.
“However, yesterday I was fired. This was a complete surprise to me,” Tashiev added.
He emphasized that, despite this decision, it is necessary to follow the president's instructions. “I served our country, the people, and the president with honor, and I am proud of it. I am only saddened by the fact that I was not allowed to say goodbye to my colleagues,” said the former head of the GKNB.
Tashiev expressed his gratitude and wished good luck to the GKNB employees.
“To achieve peace and stability in our state, no one should resort to illegal actions; all our steps must comply with the laws,” he noted in his address.
Let us remind you that on February 10, President Sadyr Japarov relieved Kamchybek Tashiev and his deputies from their positions in the GKNB. Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov was appointed as the acting head of the GKNB.
In addition, structural changes were made in the special service: the Border Service became an independent unit again, and the State Guard Service was created.
