During the conversation, the heads of state discussed key aspects of Kyrgyz-Kazakh relations, including the implementation of previously reached agreements in the areas of trade, transport, energy, industrial cooperation, and water resource management.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev informed about the current constitutional changes in Kazakhstan aimed at creating a sustainable foundation for future progress. Sadyr Japarov expressed his support for these reforms, including the idea of a unicameral parliament, and wished success in holding a nationwide referendum.
