The Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic has decided to prematurely terminate the powers of Eldar Sulaymanov as a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh. This became possible due to his own statement, as reported by the press service of the CEC.
As a result, the deputy's certificate has lost its validity.
Azizbek Abdullayev has been appointed to the vacant position in the multi-mandate electoral district No. 5. This decision was made at the CEC meeting on February 18.
Abdullayev is already registered as a deputy of parliament and will soon receive his certificate and badge.
The reasons why Sulaymanov decided to resign his powers have not been officially announced. However, there has been public discussion about conflicts in his personal life, including allegations of domestic violence from his ex-wife, which the deputy himself has denied.
