He noted that just recently, the country's leadership expressed their trust in him by offering him the position to head the municipality.
“I agreed immediately, as I spent my student years in this city and know it very well. This decision was made by the leadership, and I promised to work tirelessly. It is a great responsibility, as Zhenishbek Toktorbaev worked tirelessly for the benefit of the city. All the positive initiatives he started will be continued as much as possible. I will never speak ill of a person who has left their position. Yesterday, President Sadyr Nurgoyevich and I discussed the development of Osh extensively, and he emphasized the need to change the attitude towards entrepreneurs and to work honestly. This task now lies before me. We will strive to justify this trust and create comfortable conditions for the city's residents,” said Akaev.
He added that new projects and a general plan will be developed in collaboration with the city council.
“The mayor's office will be open to everyone: the public, bloggers, and journalists. We plan to conduct our work publicly and transparently,” the mayor assured.
