Kunduzbek Sulaymanov, a former deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, shared his thoughts on his decision to leave his post. He did this through a social media post.

Sulaymanov noted that his resignation was the result of "careful consideration." He emphasized that he has always sought to raise the relevant issues of his constituents and respond to their appeals.

“I believe that my mandate cannot stand above my conscience, reputation, and the unity of the people. To avoid further escalation of the situation in society, I have decided to resign from my position as a deputy,” he wrote.

The former deputy also emphasized that he does not know the person who appeared in the video circulating online and noted that he was not subjected to any pressure.

“I ask for this situation to be resolved peacefully, without conflicts. There is no need to politicize what has happened,” he added.

Sulaymanov expressed gratitude to his constituents and wished good luck to the candidate who will take his place in parliament.

It is worth noting that earlier, the Central Election Commission prematurely suspended Sulaymanov's powers in connection with his statement about resigning.
