Current issues of Kyrgyz-Chinese cooperation were discussed
During the meeting between the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Marlen Mamataliyev and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of China to Kyrgyzstan Liu Jiangping, aspects of the current cooperation between the two countries were reviewed.
Mamataliyev noted that in recent years there has been dynamic development in Kyrgyz-Chinese relations, including regular high-level visits. He cited three meetings of the leaders of the two states that took place last year as an example.
“These efforts have led to the implementation of projects such as the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, which had previously remained at the discussion level for a long time. In addition, agreements have been reached on several investment initiatives,” the speaker emphasized.
According to Mamataliyev, one of the key tasks for Kyrgyzstan is to deepen trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian relations.
Ambassador Liu Jiangping, for her part, noted the importance of cooperation with Kyrgyzstan for China and expressed readiness to continue developing friendly relations while staying in touch with the Jogorku Kenesh.
During the meeting, the parties proposed specific measures to further strengthen ties in the fields of economy and culture, as well as to promote joint investment projects.
