
During the meeting between the Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan Marlen Mamataliyev and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France Nicolas Fay, issues concerning the strengthening of bilateral relations and inter-parliamentary cooperation were discussed. This was reported by the parliament's press service.
During the conversation, the parties examined aspects of political-economic and cultural-humanitarian interaction between the two states.
Mamataliyev expressed Kyrgyzstan's interest in expanding cooperation with France in various areas, noting that deepening trade and economic ties, as well as joint work in the fields of environmental protection, tourism, and digitalization, are of particular importance.
The Chairman emphasized that parliamentary diplomacy plays a key role in strengthening partnerships between countries and pointed out the need to activate meetings and visits between deputies. He also highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation between friendship groups of deputies.
In response, Nicolas Fay supported the proposed initiatives and presented his ideas for the further development of Kyrgyz-French relations. He emphasized the necessity of strengthening inter-parliamentary ties, stressing that this interaction contributes to the fulfillment of the agreements reached.
Furthermore, the parties exchanged views on the opening of direct flights and the establishment of cultural centers representing the interests of both countries.
