Zhapаров to deputies on the construction of houses by GIK Tumanbaev: If you are ready to build, come forward

At the meeting on March 11, Japarov noted that the authorized capital of the State Mortgage Company has reached $2 billion. He reported that this year about 20,000 families will receive keys to new apartments. Major construction works are being carried out in Osh, Jalal-Abad, Batken, and Chui regions, with smaller volumes in Talas, Naryn, Cholpon-Ata, Balakchy, and Karakol.

He also mentioned that he had heard criticism from deputies regarding the prices of apartments, which, in their opinion, should not exceed the cost price, especially given that the land is provided for free. "If prices remain as they are, we will have to allocate budget funds annually, and the State Mortgage Company could go bankrupt," the president emphasized.

Nevertheless, Japarov added that the apartments from the State Mortgage Company are still cheaper than those from private construction companies. "In private companies, the cost of housing can reach $2,000 to $3,000 per square meter, while the State Mortgage Company offers prices starting from $700 in Bishkek and from $750 in the regions," he noted, explaining the price difference by the need for material transportation.

The president also mentioned that he had received complaints regarding Kanibek Tumanbaev receiving privileges in construction. "If any of you have a construction company, I am ready to allocate land. Build with these funds. I approached elite construction companies with an offer to build for $700, but they refused, considering it impossible. Therefore, we had to create our own company and work with those who are capable of doing it. No one doubts that the former mayor of Osh, Jenishbek Toktorbaev, is building similar houses.
