Tokayev emphasized that the majority of voters chose the path of progress and justice, which will serve as the foundation for future achievements. "This Constitution, created by the people, will lead us to new heights," he said.
The President also expressed gratitude to everyone who participated in the voting, highlighting the record turnout in the elections:
“We have shown the whole world the political culture of our people. Unity is the source of life and prosperity! To achieve our goal of making Kazakhstan competitive and advanced, it is essential to maintain peace, demonstrate patience, and work diligently,” he added.
According to Tokayev, the Constitution, which received the approval of the people, is a key guideline for the country's development:
“The new Constitution is the foundation of our independence and the protection of human rights. We, as a united nation, have taken an important step towards creating a just society where law and order are fundamental principles.”
The President also noted that there is much work ahead, and it is important that citizens support these changes.
“I am convinced that by joining our efforts, we can leave a progressive Kazakhstan for future generations. I want to express my gratitude to the youth who actively participated in the referendum. May our independence be eternal, and may the Republic of Kazakhstan thrive! I congratulate everyone on the adoption of the new Constitution!” he concluded.
Earlier, the results of exit polls from the republican referendum on the new Constitution were published.
According to the Eurasian Integration Institute, 86.7% of voters supported the new Constitution. According to the "Socius-A" institute, this figure was 87.4%, while the exit poll results from the Institute of Public Policy showed support at the level of 88.6% of those surveyed.
