The issue of increasing scholarships for athletes in Kyrgyzstan was discussed at a meeting of the parliamentary committee, where deputy Umbetaly Kydyraliev spoke. He emphasized the need to review the current amounts of state payments.

According to the deputy, the existing maximum scholarship of 60,000 soms does not reflect reality, as inflation and rising prices have significantly reduced its purchasing power, especially for high-level athletes. Kydyraliev urged the government to consider increasing these payments.

Kazybek Moldazhiyev, head of the State Agency for Youth, Physical Culture, and Sports, agreed with the deputy's position. He noted that it is necessary to take inflation into account when reviewing scholarships, including changes for medalists of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
