On December 28, 2025, a woman living in the capital reported to the police. She stated that her underage daughter had become a victim of theft at the Alamedin market — a mobile phone was stolen from her jacket pocket.
The fact of the theft was registered in accordance with Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Law enforcement officers detained a suspect, born in 1998, known as A.K. During the investigation, it was established that he, along with another accomplice, born in 2001 named A.Z., was selling the stolen phones at the Osh market. Both detainees were placed in a temporary detention facility.
During searches at the "Besh-Sary" shopping center, more than 20 smartphones were discovered, and it was established that the detainees may be involved in other similar crimes.
