Fire engulfed the reeds located east of the village of Kara-Talaa, which is part of the Ulahol rural district.
According to the data from the Ministry of Emergency Situations representative office in the Issyk-Kul region, the fire broke out within the "Ak-Bulun" nature reserve. At 17:24, one firefighting crew from the fire and rescue unit No. 19, based in Balkych, was dispatched to the scene.
Full control over the fire was established by 21:30, and by 24:05, the fire was completely extinguished.
Six workers from the village administration, three representatives from the forestry service, three police officers, approximately 20 local residents, and five employees from the district Ministry of Emergency Situations participated in combating the fire.
