According to the press service of the agency, 39-year-old Kumarbek Abdyrov, who was in pre-trial detention center No. 1, was found dead on February 7 around 12:30 PM. His body was discovered on the internal grate of his cell, and preliminary data suggests that he committed suicide using his pants.
Employees of the investigative operational group of the GSIN and representatives of the Special Prosecutor's Office arrived at the scene. An investigative check is currently underway, during which relevant examinations have been appointed.
Abdyrov was transferred to pre-trial detention center No. 1 on December 17 of last year.
He was detained in the fall of 2025 following the tragic death of 17-year-old Aysulu Mukacheva. During the investigation, he confessed not only to this crime but also to a number of other serious crimes committed earlier.
Kumarbek Abdyrov is from the Chui region and is involved in a number of crimes of varying severity.
