In 2025, the entrepreneur approached the police officer with a proposal for a joint business in planting valuable plants from the nightshade family. The cost of one kilogram of seeds was three thousand dollars, and an export sale to Turkey was planned. Based on this agreement, the investor transferred 35,500 dollars, but these funds were embezzled by the police officer.
In October 2025, the investor filed a complaint about fraud with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but an investigation involving him was not conducted. The investigative authorities refused to initiate a criminal case, which, according to the SCNS, played into the hands of the suspect.
The citizen of Turkey again approached the SCNS on January 27, 2026. The prosecutor's office seized the old materials and transferred them to the investigative department of the SCNS.
On February 24, E.M.A. was detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Talas Department of Internal Affairs.
The SCNS emphasizes that it continues to fight corruption among law enforcement agencies, protecting the rights of investors and creating safe conditions for doing business in the country.
