During operational activities in the Chui region, law enforcement officers detained a man from the Kemin district who is suspected of illegal trafficking in weapons, narcotic substances, and hunting wild animals. This information was provided by the regional Department of Internal Affairs.
According to police data, a search was conducted on February 18, 2025, at the home of citizen O.N., born in 1974, residing in the village of Shabdan. The search was made possible due to received operational information and was conducted as part of a criminal case.
As a result of the search, smoothbore weapon IZH 12 caliber with cartridges, as well as cartridges for rifled weapons of unspecified caliber, were found in the detainee's residence.
In addition, the police discovered the head of a wild goat (roe deer), skins of wild boar, two carcasses of wild pheasants, and one carcass of a chukar in the house.
Drugs — cannabis, with a total weight of 1.5 kilograms according to the control weighing — were also found in the attic.
In connection with these events, a criminal case has been initiated under several articles of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic: 267 (illegal trafficking in weapons and ammunition), 282 (illegal manufacture of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances for sale), and 310 (illegal hunting or capture of aquatic animals).
The suspect has been placed in a temporary detention facility. Judicial examinations have been appointed as part of the investigation, and investigative actions are ongoing.
