In Bishkek, there was an illegal appropriation of land belonging to the National Academy of Sciences. This was reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
In connection with this fact, law enforcement agencies initiated a criminal case under part 1 of Article 336 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. During the investigation, it was revealed that in 1997, the city hall allocated 11.2 hectares of land in the northern part of the Karagach grove for the Institute of Forestry and Nut Growing of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic for the purpose of conducting research work. However, this land was not properly registered, and soon it was divided and sold.
After conducting operational measures, the specified plot of land was returned to state ownership.
