As a result of the investigation into a criminal case qualified under Article 336 "Corruption" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, it became known that the plot was transferred to the Institute of Forestry and Nut Cultivation of the NAS in 1997 by the decision of the Bishkek City Hall No. 107 for scientific purposes. However, the institute did not register the land, which allowed some officials to sell it off as private plots.

After completing all necessary registration procedures, the plot was returned to state ownership.
The GKNB noted that work on the return of illegally transferred assets continues. Currently, investigative actions are underway aimed at returning other NAS properties that were also privatized in violation of the law.
