An 80-year-old pensioner living in the village of Kotovskoye in the Issyk-Ata district reported to the police. He stated that on the night of January 25, around 00:30, robbers broke into his home. As a result of the attack, the pensioner was beaten and tied up. The criminals stole a mobile phone and 165,000 soms that were kept in a safe.
The fact of the robbery was recorded under Article 207 ("Robbery") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Law enforcement officers detained three suspects: B.M. and J.A., both born in 1995, as well as R.M., born in 1978. All of them were placed in a temporary detention facility.
A criminal case was initiated on the grounds of the crime provided for by the same Article 207 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The investigation established that the victim is divorced, and the robbery was organized by a relative of his ex-wife. The detainees believed that the pensioner had a significant amount of money in the safe, obtained from the sale of a land plot, but they did not know that the majority of the funds had been transferred to a bank deposit.
As of now, the investigation is ongoing.
