“I am engaged in agriculture and have been passionate about hunting since childhood. I have three uncles who were also hunters, and by observing them, I learned this craft. Hunting is not an easy task. To become a true master, qualities such as precision, courage, patience, and perseverance are necessary. Without these skills, it is impossible to achieve success,” he shares.
Murad noted that wolves are very sensitive creatures.
“They live in packs, which can consist of up to 14 individuals. Usually, wolves weigh between 35 to 40 kg, but the largest one I shot weighed 70 kg. Their behavior seems very strategic. During a hunt, they attack their prey in groups, leaving it with little chance of survival. For example, one wolf may chase the prey while others catch it. They also hunt small animals, such as hares and marmots,” he added.
According to the hunter, recently wolves have been attacking livestock more frequently, causing serious losses for livestock breeders.
“Livestock producers come to us for help. This year in the village of Taldy-Bulak, one person lost more than 1 million soms because wolves killed over 10 yaks. In another yard, they destroyed 14 heads of cattle. When we go hunting, we first try to shoot the male and only then the female. If we kill the female, the male will definitely return, and we will have to shoot him. The surviving male can take revenge by attacking livestock,” Beyshekeyev explained.
“If we manage to get to the site of the attack in time, we can catch the predator; if we are late, we follow its tracks. Due to the losses incurred by livestock breeders, it is necessary to respond quickly to the appearance of wolves. In such cases, actions must be immediate,” concluded the hunter.
