In the "Our People Abroad" section, we will tell you about 21-year-old Bekzat Tajibaev, who currently lives in Dubai.

Bekzat was born in 2003 in the village of Ak-Suu, located in the Leilek district of the Batken region. He is the eldest of three children in his family.

“I had long dreamed of visiting Dubai. I prepared for this trip for two years, studying English. In 2022, when I turned 18, I passed the interview, and a year later, on my birthday, I flew to Dubai. At first, I got a job as a waiter’s assistant, then I became a sales consultant in a boutique of an Italian brand aimed at the Anglo-Russian audience. After that, I looked for opportunities for career growth and spent a whole six months sending out my resume. As a result, I managed to pass the competition for the position of elite sales consultant in a boutique of a well-known French brand. I competed for three months with young people from other countries and, in the end, succeeded. Working with the French brand, I quickly gained valuable experience. To do this, I had to train for a second profession—online logistics. Currently, I combine both professions. I rent an apartment in Dubai with two friends I have known since childhood,” Bekzat shared.

He shared his impressions of life in Dubai:

“There is high competition in various fields here. After living here for three years, you forget about winter. This city demands constant development. There are many people who strive for ambitious goals. However, one should not compare the UAE with Kyrgyzstan, where there are majestic mountains, fresh air, and clear skies. In Dubai, the laws are strictly enforced. Foreigners are respected as visitors, there are special bodies to protect their rights, but at the same time, the laws must not be violated.”

Bekzat remembered his first day upon arriving in Dubai.

“I expected to be met by people in traditional clothing in a luxurious black car. In reality, I was met by an Indian who handwrote my name on a piece of paper. He said he would take me to my place of residence. At that moment, I thought: is he really taking me to the desert, where I will have to take care of camels...,” he recounted.
