Roza Itimbaeva, living in the village of Kerege-Tash in the Ak-Suu district of the Issyk-Kul region, works as a teacher at the J. Alyshbaev school.

For the past five years, she has been successfully engaged in beekeeping.

“At first, we raised bees for our own consumption to have quality honey, but now we have started selling it. Currently, we have 100 hives. Our village is located at the foot of the mountain, which creates ideal conditions for beekeeping. In the summer, we collect more than a ton of honey. We sell it at a price of 400 to 450 soms per kilogram, which contributes about 1 million soms to our family budget,” Roza said.

She emphasized that caring for bees requires a lot of attention, comparing the process to taking care of small children.

“My husband and I regularly provide the bees with necessary medicines and other care. In spring, we prepare the hives and then go to the mountains, where we collect honey from the nectar of alfalfa flowers. I spend my summer vacation taking care of the bees,” Itimbaeva shared her impressions.

Speaking about her work, Roza noted her pride in being a teacher.

“Children have pure souls, and I enjoy working with them. I love answering their questions. During the summer vacation, I miss my students. I have 20 years of teaching experience, and my first students have already started their own families and are working. I keep in touch with them,” she said.

Roza Itimbaeva is a mother of five children and a grandmother of three grandchildren.
