The thirteenth day of the Winter Olympic Games taking place in Italy was significant and eventful. For the first time, ski mountaineering was included in the Olympic program, and the final competitions in women's hockey and singles figure skating determined the winners. Ski Mountaineering: First Gold in Olympic History

This discipline, now part of the Olympic program, showcased its dynamism. The first finals in the sprint races saw Swiss athlete Marinn Fatton win gold, demonstrating excellent technique on the climbs and flawless execution of technical elements.

In the men's final, gold went to Spanish athlete Oriol Cardona Coll, who confidently won the decisive race. The silver medal was awarded to Russian athlete Nikita Filippov, competing under a neutral status, while Frenchman Thibaut Anselme took bronze.

In the men's 1,500 meters speed skating event, Chinese athlete Ning Zhongyan took victory.

The silver medal was awarded to American Jordan Stoltz, while the bronze went to Dutchman Kield Neijs. The final was marked by fierce competition, with only a few tenths of a second separating the top two places.

Nordic Combined: Norwegians Take Gold

The gold in the team sprint of the Nordic combined was won by the Norwegian team, confirming their leadership in this sport.

The silver went to the Finns, while the Austrians took bronze.
