Among the disabled pages were the accounts of eco-activist Mutabar Khushvakhtova (Urikguli), the media resources Hook Report and Sarpa Media, as well as blogger Saodat Abduzakirova. The temporary shutdown also affected the editor-in-chief of Hook Report, Yana Modelova, however, her account was restored, although it is not yet displayed in the search engine.
Darina Solod, the founder of Hook Report, described the incident as a serious blow to the small publication and suggested that the blockage could have been the result of pre-planned actions. Sarpa Media expressed the opinion that the reason for the shutdowns was mass and, likely, coordinated complaints, reminding them of previous attacks involving suspicious accounts.
The anti-violence project Nemolchi.uz expressed support for the blocked accounts and called on Meta, as well as international organizations, to provide clear explanations regarding freedom of speech and digital security for women. As a precautionary measure, Nemolchi.uz temporarily closed access to its page for new subscribers, leaving access for the existing audience.
