
According to Macron, “when we face a clear act of aggression, we should not try to seek compromise.” He noted that such a strategy does not yield results and emphasized that, although he always shows respect and predictability in his relations with President Trump, this does not mean weakness.
Macron also pointed out that the current U.S. administration demonstrates “anti-European” sentiments, showing disregard for the European Union and seeking to divide it.
“On the trade front, Europe is facing a challenge from China, and from the U.S. — constant instability. These two crises represent a serious test for Europeans. I want to emphasize that even when some relief arises after the peak of the crisis, one should not relax thinking that the danger has passed. This is an illusion, as constant instability persists,” he added.
