According to information from the Unified State Register of Enterprises and Organizations, as of February 25, the founder of Garden Catering Trade became Muijdinjon Abdumuminovich Gofurov. Previously, on February 24, this role belonged to Ikboljon Habibulloevich Bozorov, whose surname matches the name of the hokim of the Fergana region.
Gofurov is also the owner of shares in several other companies, including Grand Super Montaj (construction of residential buildings) and Valley Ceramics Group (ceramics production).
The head of the company, Shavkat Minavarovich Turdaliev, is the founder of several organizations, such as Yangiqo'rg'on Fayz Qurilish and Eco Technical House.
We remind you that on February 21, 62 children from state kindergartens No. 2, 58, and 61 in Fergana were hospitalized with a diagnosis of "acute diarrhea." The children exhibited symptoms of poisoning, such as abdominal pain and high fever. Three of them were in intensive care, but their condition was assessed as stable.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 257-1 of the Criminal Code, concerning violations of sanitary norms.
According to "Gazeta," the hokimiyat of the Fergana region selected Garden Catering Trade as a supplier in violation of public procurement legislation. The Anti-Corruption Agency reported that the agency's warnings were ignored, and the company was given advantages in the competitive procedures.
Initially, Garden Catering Trade was established as a joint venture with equal shares between Ikboljon Bozorov and Yildirim Adem. Later, after losing its joint venture status, until February 25, 100% of the shares belonged to Bozorov.
In 2024, the company was granted the right to supply to kindergartens in Fergana by the decision of hokim Khayrulla Bozorov, although at the time of the decision, the company had existed for only a month. An inspection conducted by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education in July 2024 revealed that the food did not meet sanitary standards.
The Competition Protection Committee recommended canceling the hokim's decision, citing the "On Competition" law, but the cancellation did not take place.
The Anti-Corruption Agency also established that the selection of the supplier was carried out with violations; however, the hokimiyat limited itself to a formal response.
Despite these issues, Garden Catering Trade continued its operations and signed contracts worth over 100 billion sums without conducting a tender.
It is also worth noting that in September 2025, more than 1,000 children from state kindergartens were hospitalized with symptoms of food poisoning in various districts of the Tashkent region. These kindergartens were serviced by three outsourcing companies that purchased products from the Akurgan manufacturer Shark Milk Product. The results of that investigation have not yet been published.
