The Chief of Staff of the IDF, Eyal Zamir, announced the start of an offensive operation against the Lebanese movement "Hezbollah." "Now we are not only defending ourselves but also moving into an active offensive," he noted, adding that prolonged battles are expected.

Recently, "Hezbollah" launched missile and drone strikes on the Israeli city of Haifa, claiming it was a retaliatory measure for the death of Ali Khamenei. Reports indicate that some of the missiles were intercepted, but others fell in open areas.

In response to these attacks, the IDF began striking Hezbollah positions on Lebanese territory.

According to media reports, one of the strikes resulted in the elimination of Mohammed Raad, who led the political wing of "Hezbollah" and held a position in the parliamentary bloc "Loyalty to the Resistance."

It is also reported that at least ten people died in the southern suburbs of Beirut during the Israeli attacks.

It is worth noting that on February 28, the U.S. and Israel launched a large-scale military operation against Iran, aimed at preventing Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. U.S. President Donald Trump previously stated his intention to destroy the Iranian navy and defense industry, as well as calling for a change of power in the country.

On the night of March 1, Iran reported the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
