President of the United States Donald Trump has extended an invitation to the leaders of 58 countries to participate in the "Council of Peace" concerning the situation in Gaza. This was reported in a statement published on the Axios portal.
As clarified by the source, Trump is likely to compare the work of the "Council of Peace" with the actions of the United Nations in his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos. "I assume he may conclude that this is an opponent of the UN. But, as always, it is difficult to predict exactly what Donald Trump will say until he starts his speech," the source added.
Also, the press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, stated that Vladimir Putin received an invitation to join the "Council of Peace," and this opportunity is currently being considered.
