In his address, Zelensky noted that Russia is the source of destructive missile attacks and attempts to destroy Ukraine. "These are clear examples of how Russia does not want peace agreements. When Ukrainians are left without electricity for 20-30 hours due to Russia's actions, and the strikes are aimed at undermining our energy infrastructure and the spirit of the people, it is Russia that should be pressured. I am grateful to everyone who supports Ukraine in this," he stated.

In an interview with Reuters, Trump said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is "ready for a deal," while adding that Ukraine is less inclined to reach agreements. When asked about the reasons for the delay in ending the conflict, Trump pointed to Zelensky.

The Kremlin supported Trump's words. The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, stated: "One can agree with him. Indeed, President Putin and the Russian side are open to negotiations. The situation for the Kyiv regime is worsening, and the corridor for decision-making is narrowing. The time for Zelensky to take responsibility and make the necessary decisions has long come."
