During his speech, Zelensky emphasized that such harsh measures could put pressure on Moscow. "The Americans have various tools, and when they really want to, they can act. The main thing is the understanding of Ukraine's priority for them. It is necessary to find ways to pressure Russia," he noted, citing the example of Maduro.
"Here is a clear example with Maduro. An operation was carried out, and the whole world saw its result. Let them do something similar with Kadyrov. Perhaps this will make Putin think," added the President of Ukraine.
In response to these words, Kadyrov stated that Zelensky's call to the U.S. to kidnap him confirms the Ukrainian authorities' desire to disrupt peace negotiations. In his Telegram channel, he expressed the opinion that by suggesting the U.S. take action, Zelensky demonstrates his cowardice.
According to Kadyrov, "Zelensky does not dare to carry out the kidnapping himself and suggests that the Americans do it. This shows his weakness: he cowardly hints that he would prefer to watch someone else punish his offender." He also added: "Now he is turning to the Americans for help, although they previously failed to provide him with weapons. Preserve your dignity and do not humiliate yourself. If you had a drop of courage, you would realize how humiliating your words and requests are," Kadyrov addressed the Ukrainian president.
