Two incidents involving railway transport occurred in Europe, according to media reports.

In Spain, near Gelida, a commuter train derailed after colliding with a collapsed retaining wall following heavy rains. As reported by El Mundo, the incident resulted in the death of the train driver, and more than 15 people were injured, several of whom are in critical condition.

Firefighters, emergency services, and police arrived at the scene, and traffic on the damaged section has been temporarily halted.

This is the second case of a train derailing in Spain in a short period: earlier, on January 18, two high-speed trains collided in the province of Córdoba, resulting in at least 42 deaths and hundreds of passengers injured.

In Poland, a train also derailed; however, as noted by Infrastructure Minister Dariusz Klimczak, none of the approximately 20 passengers were injured. The causes of the accident are currently being investigated, and relevant services have been engaged for the inquiry. As a result of the incident, schedules have been altered, and some trains have been replaced by buses.
