In 2026, over 60 different factors are taken into account to determine the military power index, including the economic situation in the country, its geographical location, and logistical capabilities. The Global Firepower (GFP) ranking has existed since 2005 and is part of the Military Factory network, which provides analytical data on the armaments of countries around the world.
According to GFP information, Kyrgyzstan's military budget is $654 million.
As for other Central Asian countries, Uzbekistan ranks 53rd (up from 58th), Kazakhstan — 58th (down from 57th), Turkmenistan — 78th (down from 77th), and Tajikistan — 100th (up from 108th). Kyrgyzstan, in turn, has dropped from 105th to 109th place.
