In Kyrgyzstan, the establishment of a network of dental offices based in schools and kindergartens is planned. This statement was made by the chief freelance dentist of the Ministry of Health, Gulmairam Ibraimova.

According to Ibraimova, in February 2025, an interdepartmental order was signed between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education, aimed at joint efforts to prevent dental diseases in children.

The program will cover both kindergartens and educational institutions, focusing on the development of preventive dental care for the child population. Special attention will be paid to educating children, parents, and teachers on the basics of oral hygiene, proper nutrition, and leading a healthy lifestyle. The offices will also be available to serve neighboring schools and kindergartens according to a set schedule.

Ibraimova noted that the formation of proper eating habits in children depends not only on dentists but also on parents. She also emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts among dentists, the education system, and parents for the successful prevention of dental diseases.

Additionally, the possibility of organizing outreach preventive examinations with the participation of clinical residents and graduate students with the support of the Ministry of Education is being considered.
