In Kyrgyzstan, the establishment of a network of dental offices based in schools is planned, as reported on January 29 by Gulmairam Ibraimova, the chief freelance expert in dentistry at the Ministry of Health, during a broadcast on "Birinchi Radio."

Ibraimova noted that in February 2025, an interdepartmental order was signed between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education, which outlines joint efforts to prevent dental diseases in preschool and school-aged children.

The key focus of the dental offices in schools will be prevention. This includes not only medical examinations but also educating children and their parents about the basics of oral hygiene, proper nutrition, as well as promoting a healthy lifestyle and discouraging harmful habits.

Ibraimova emphasized that family traditions and habits play an important role in the dental health of children, therefore a comprehensive solution to the problem is necessary, involving the education system and public health.

In addition to the opening of dental offices in schools, outreach preventive examinations are planned. Special groups may be created for this purpose, including clinical residents and graduate students. Schools and kindergartens will also be able to visit these dental offices according to a schedule.
