As of the end of last year, the reserves amounted to 8.2 billion dollars.
The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan reported that the country's international reserves have reached 10 billion dollars. This was announced by the bank's chairman Melis Turgunbaev.
He noted: "This is a significant achievement. We have joined the ranks of developed countries, so to speak, in the elite club. This level of reserves is twice our external debt and will provide full protection for the currency market against possible external shocks."
For reference, in August 2025, international reserves exceeded 6.6 billion dollars, and by December, they increased to 8.2 billion dollars.
