The Financial Market Regulation and Supervision Service reported on the electricity consumption by miners in Kyrgyzstan.

In 2024, miners used 218.6 million kilowatt-hours, which is slightly more than the previous year when the figure was 213.3 million.

It is worth noting that in the second half of 2025, energy consumption exceeded 20 million kilowatt-hours. However, in November, this figure dropped to 5.7 million, and in December it fell to zero — this is due to the suspension of mining farms' operations for the winter period.

According to official information, there are only two legal mining farms operating in the country: one is located in Kemin, and the other at the Kambar-Ata Hydroelectric Power Station-2. Both facilities are under state control.

Last year, the share of mining in total energy consumption was approximately 1.1 percent, which, according to experts, does not have a significant impact on the republic's energy system.

Miners contributed more than 206 million soms to the budget in the form of taxes.
