During a live broadcast on the "Kabar" TV channel, independent analyst Tynchtyk Altymyshev shared his opinion on how to stabilize meat prices in the Kyrgyz Republic.
He emphasized that simply lowering prices is not the right solution, as it may undermine the valuation of farmers' labor and costs.
“To make meat more accessible, comprehensive measures need to be taken. It is important to consider all related sectors: veterinary medicine, epizootiology, feed production, and pasture conditions. For example, Kazakhstan has a program called 'Kazakhstan-2050', which provides subsidies to agrarians of up to 70%. In this context, special attention is given to the meat cluster. I observed how a Kazakh farmer with 14,000 heads of Angus cattle receives 70% reimbursement of his expenses on feed and livestock purchases. It is precisely thanks to such measures that the neighboring country has been able to achieve food independence in meat production,” the expert added.
