He noted that companies engaged in the production of clothing and food products, as well as freight carriers, regularly report delays of their trucks at the borders.
“Even with all the necessary documents and cargo clearance, additional inspections and stops occur,” he added.
In response to these challenges, Jumaliev stated that alternative routes are being considered, including the so-called Middle Corridor, as well as strategies for diversifying sales markets. The "Kyrgyzexport" Center is actively working on expanding the geography of agricultural and food product supplies.
Murataliev emphasized that one of the serious problems remains the lack of sufficient warehouse facilities and trade-logistics centers capable of ensuring the storage and processing of products.
In this regard, representatives of "Kyrgyzexport" visited Novosibirsk in Russia, where a project is being developed in collaboration with the Eurasian Development Bank to create a wholesale distribution center (WDC). It is expected that this center will allow the supply of Kyrgyz products to major retail chains in the Ural region, as well as to Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, and Omsk.
The WDC will engage in primary and secondary sorting, processing, and packaging of goods for subsequent deliveries to retail networks.
Additionally, a project is being developed in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank to construct a similar center in Almaty. According to Jumaliev, the Kazakh market remains one of the priorities for Kyrgyz goods, especially milk and agricultural products.
In his opinion, the creation of logistics centers is an important step to ensure stable supplies, regardless of the situation at border checkpoints.
