
The issues related to electric mobility and the digitalization of the transport sector became the focus of discussions between the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Asian Development Bank. The meeting, held on February 26, was organized by the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications B. Mombekov, who met with bank representatives to discuss joint initiatives.
The participants of the meeting emphasized the need to create conditions that promote the development of electric transport, as well as to improve the existing regulatory framework.
Topics discussed included the implementation of systems for analyzing the condition of road surfaces, the application of intelligent technologies and information analytics, as well as the development of mechanisms that allow directing investments based on safety, climate resilience, and the technical condition of facilities. Additionally, ideas were considered for using weather stations and mobile laboratories to monitor road conditions.
Representatives of the Asian Development Bank expressed their willingness to share international experience and tools that can enhance the efficiency of road infrastructure management.
