In Bishkek, work continues on the renovation of the tourist complex "Sayakat" and the hotel "Dostuk." According to information provided by the Directorate under the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, a significant amount of foreign investment will be directed towards these goals: a Russian company has already invested 5 million dollars in "Sayakat," while expenses for the comprehensive renovation of "Dostuk" are planned to range from 15 to 25 million dollars.
Previously, before the facilities were transferred to the management of the Directorate, they were in a dilapidated state: engineering networks required replacement, and emergency electrical systems posed a fire safety threat. As part of the agreements concluded, investors will undertake a complete modernization of these buildings: heating, water supply, and sewage systems will be updated, as well as facades and roofs. The implementation of modern energy-efficient equipment that meets international safety standards is also an important part of the plan.
In addition, significant attention is being paid to the legal and financial aspects of the projects. After the hotel "Dostuk" was transferred to state management, 35.59% of the shares that previously belonged to a private investor were returned. Although the hotel will not operate during the renovation, the investor has agreed to pay rent of 40.8 million soms annually. From 2027, the rent amount will increase to 80.5 million soms, and starting from 2029, it will reach 100.9 million soms per year.
This agreement has become the most economically advantageous in the entire history of the hotel complex. After all the work is completed, "Sayakat" and "Dostuk" promise to transform into modern architectural landmarks of the capital, offering a high level of service to their visitors.
