For the modernization of the tourist complex "Sayakat," an investment of $5 million has been attracted, while a total of $15 to $25 million has been allocated for the complete renovation of the hotel complex "Dostuk."
Before these facilities were transferred to the management of the Directorate, they had not undergone significant repairs for many years and required serious modernization.
“The technical condition of the buildings has significantly deteriorated over time. The engineering networks have become outdated, and some elements are in an emergency state. In particular, the electrical system and equipment do not meet modern safety standards. The wear of the wiring and its insufficient capacity increased the risk of fires, jeopardizing the safety of guests and staff. Additionally, the sewage and water supply networks have also not been updated for many years,” the statement said.
As part of the major renovation, according to the signed investment agreements, a complete modernization of the electrical systems and the installation of safe, energy-efficient equipment are being carried out. The water supply and sewage systems are also being updated using modern technologies. Furthermore, the roofs, facades, and interior spaces of the buildings are undergoing major repairs, and heating systems are being restored.
The early start of work by the investors will not only help avoid many risks but also bring the hotel complexes up to international standards. Soon, the tourist complex "Sayakat" and the hotel "Dostuk" will be able to take a worthy place among the largest facilities beautifying the city.
After the hotel "Dostuk" was transferred to the management of the Directorate, 35.59% of the shares, previously owned by a private shareholder, were returned to the state.
It is worth noting that during the renovation, the hotel complex "Dostuk" will not be operational. Nevertheless, the investor, who signed the investment agreement and a long-term lease contract, in addition to significant investments in the renovation, has committed to paying annual rent of 40 million 800 thousand soms. From the fourth quarter of 2027, the rent will double to 80 million 580 thousand soms per year, and from the fourth quarter of 2029 until 2049, it will increase to 100 million 900 thousand soms per year. This agreement has become the most advantageous and economically justified project in the history of the hotel complex "Dostuk."
